In 2007, Sundisc Abrasives opened its subsidiary company, Sundisc Abrasives USA LLC, in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.

Sundisc Abrasives USA LLC chiefly has a wholesale function. For the American market, the company has a hubbing machine in order to be able to supply hubbed flap discs as well.

Sundisc Abrasives USA LLC has had its own label machine since 2012. Thus, Sundisc Abrasives USA LLC now has its own labelling capacities and so can deliver products more rapidly to its clients.

In addition to flap discs, Sundisc Abrasives USA also holds stock of and sells tungsten carbide grinders, flap wheels, non-wovens, and cut-off and deburring discs.

South-East Asia

In early 2013, Sundisc Abrasives opened its subsidiary company of Sundisc Abrasives South East Asia Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With this new branch, a new production company was added to the Sundisc group. Sundisc Abrasives can now produce its own Clean & Strip products besides producing flap discs.

And Sundisc Abrasives can now serve its clients even better with new products made in its own factories. Sundisc Abrasives shall continue to develop and innovate, which in part is made possible thanks to Sundisc Abrasives SEA.

The Netherlands

Sundisc Abrasives makes their flap discs in the Netherlands and in 2007 built a new factory for this purpose in Velp.This 3,500 m² factory stands right next to the highway, and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art machines for the most highly efficient production possible.

In 2013, a second site in Velp was opened for the production of mini flap discs and flap wheels.

An in-house label and packaging department ensures our clients receive all products in the desired way.

The headquarters in Velp also houses all offices of the subsidiary companies active in the Netherlands. The departments of purchasing, marketing & sales, and administration are also located here.

Employees Sundisc Abrasives now technical operators

Een groep van 14 medewerkers van Sundisc Abrasives is gestart met de opleiding tot Technisch Operator. Het doel is om medewerkers op te leiden om eerstelijnsonderhoudstaken uit te voeren en eerstelijnsstoringen op te lossen.

De opleiding wordt gegeven door een vakdocent van ROVC en vindt plaatst op de eigen productielocatie in Velp. Het lesmateriaal is speciaal toegespitst op de werkwijze en het machinepark van Sundisc Abrasives. De cursisten kunnen de theorie direct koppelen aan praktijkopdrachten op de eigen werkplek. Zo leren de cursisten de technische componenten van de machines kennen, de werking ervan te begrijpen en inspecties uit te voeren.

Sundisc Abrasives biedt haar medewerkers graag de mogelijkheid om verder te leren en hiermee de eigen kennis en kunde te vergroten. Door het aanbieden van de opleiding tot Technisch Operator investeert Sundisc Abrasives verder in de technische vakkennis van haar personeel. Door meer technische know-how in huis te hebben wordt het onderhoud aan de machines geoptimaliseerd en kunnen storingen beter worden voorkomen.
